A great wine comes from great vineyards. Portfolio, Limited Edition sources 100% of its Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Hendry Ranch Vineyard (located in Southwest Napa) and 100% of its Cabernet Franc from Weitz Vineyard (in the Oakville Bench). Both vineyards are cultivated with the utmost attention to detail: the vines are carefully manicured year-round and deliver a very low-yielding crop each vintage, limited to a maximum of 3 tons per acre.
Over the years, the Janssens have developed a close working relationship and a longtime friendship with the vineyard owners, George Hendry and Patrick O’dell. Portfolio, Limited Edition reflects the unparalleled commitment to quality of both growers.
The elevation of the vineyard and the leanness of the soil give a remarkable depth in color, intense flavor and powerful focus to the wine.

Hendry Ranch Vineyard, Block 8:
The vineyard is located on a geologic formation known as stream terraces.
These terraces are composed of stones, clays and gravels mostly of volcanic
origin and rich in potassium felspar. Planted in 1974, the old vines are
producing a wine with great elegance, power, and intensity with concentrated
flavor.
Weitz Vineyard:
The mountainside vineyard is located in the East side of the well renowned Oakville Appelation. The terroir is made of very rocky ancient red volcanic soils from the Vaca Range.
