A vintage of a lifetime. Napa Valley experienced one of its longest and most even growing seasons in over a decade, with mild weather and extended hang time yielding fruit of exceptional character. Grapes ripened slowly and evenly, developing deep color, fine tannins, and natural concentration. Cool, steady conditions throughout the season produced wines marked by clarity, poise, and aromatic precision. The 2023 vintage will be remembered as a calm, unhurried harvest that allowed for extraordinary balance – one that rewarded patience with purity and harmony in every vineyard lot.​

Tasting Note

​The 2023 Portfolio Limited Edition leads with freshness, purity and power. A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, it marries Cabernet Sauvignon’s depth and structure with Cabernet Franc’s lift, aromatic finesse, and subtle floral and herbal notes. The nose reveals layers of dark fruits, enhanced by delicate spice and toasted nuances from new French oak. On the palate, fine, structured tannins provide a firm backbone, while a supple, velvety mouthfeel reflects the wine’s balance and grace. Savory dark fruits – dried cherry, boysenberry and black currant, leading to a long, mouthwatering, and polished finish. A collectible vintage, it exemplifies both refined structure and vibrant energy, a true expression of Napa Valley. 200 cases produced.

Composition: Cabernet Sauvignon 80%, Cabernet Franc 20%
Fruit Sources: Hendry Ranch block 8 (CS) and Block 9 (CF)

Age of Vines: CS 50 years and CF 22 years
Date of Harvest: CF October 13th and CS October 17th

Fermentation: Fermented in 1-ton bin

Winemaking: No pump, no fining, no filtration, natural gravity flow

Skin Contact: 30 days
